How To Activate Straight Talk Iphone

Purchased a straight talk IPhone XR not properly scanned at Walmart with Walmart rewards card.

Yesterday I went into Walmart needing a new phone. I decided on a IPhone XR from straight talk. I told the cashier what I wanted. She went and got one. Scanned it. The total appeared on the screen with the name of the item. I used my Walmart rewards card by capital one to purchase it. It was approved also bought a service card. I got my receipt. And went on with my day. Later when I got home. I tried to activate the phone online via the straight talk website. I removed the little red activation card with the IMEI and SIM card number. First it ask for the IMEI number. Every time I typed it in. A error message appeared. Saying invalid IMEI. After a few attempts. I decided to call the 1877 number. After being on hold for a while I was connected with a customer service agent with very poor English. I described the situation. She asked for the IMEI and the last 4 digits of the SIM card number. After telling her. She told me the phone wasn't activated/scanned correctly at the register. I've bought prepaid phones before. And usually they won't ring up until scanned correctly in 2 places. So I found this odd. I payed for it. I have the receipt. Transaction details in my capital one Walmart rewards account. So anyway. She told me I would have to return it to the place of purchase to be correctly scanned.. So I went back up to Walmart. Went up to customer service. Explained the situation. Told me to take it back to electronics. Went to electronics and spoke with the "cellular specialist ". They called straight talk again. And was told the same thing. To re scan it. Apparently to straight talk the phone is considered stolen. The phone can't be re scanned. It was already paid for according to the cellular specialist. So straight talk said it's possible it was a defective unit. And to return it if possible. So I took it back up to the front customer service desk. Explained what had happened. So customer service started a return. When you pay with debit or credit the refund goes back to the card. But every time she tried to refund it. It would just say canceled. We tried cleaning the chip on the card and even switched registers. Still would not process a refund. I had the receipt. With the last 4 digits of the card on it. With all the item information. So after about 25 minutes of trying. Management just refunded me cash. And when I received the cash I tried to put it back on the walmart rewards card it still canceled it. It's a Walmart card so you're able to make payments at any Walmart. I wanted to put the money back on the card to re order online. I have no idea if it's a glitch. Or computer issues, because it was Veterans Day.. who knows? YouTube was also down. So some weird stuff was going on yesterday. I got the refund. It's no big deal. Just hope it didn't lock my rewards card up. Anybody else have this issue? Or similar issues with Walmart and their pre paid phones?
